Welcome to Rustic Carvings! If you like the imperfection of the world around you, aren't troubled by the flaws and knots in wood because you see them as giving a piece character and definition, and are interested in unique, personalized, gifts, then you've come to the right place.

All of my designs are made out of reclaimed wood, except for the custom items. What is reclaimed wood, you say? It’s taking wood that has previously been used, or were scraps from another project, and “recycling” them into something desirable. I call it artwork.

Custom items are made from FSC sustainable white-wood, also known as pine. This type of pine is lightweight, easily carved, and has a beautiful finish in a variety of color choices. The only exception to this rule are the memory boxes - they are made from Select Pine. It is higher quality wood, denser, and less knotty.

My shipping boxes aren't pretty, I’ll be honest. Sometimes they are parts of other boxes, to re-use the cardboard. But, whether bought or re-purposed, it’s 100% recycled material. I’m ever mindful of my carbon footprint.

And, with every purchase, I plant a tree through The Nature Conservancy. It's a little way of giving back.
